Learn how to configure your Tobii Pro Nano, X2-30, X2-60 or X3-120 eye tracker correctly for the Mobile Device Stand.
The Tobii Mobile Device Stand is designed to be used with a Tobii Pro Nano, X2-30, X2-60, X3-120 Eye Trackers and a Windows computer running Tobii Pro Lab or Tobii pro Studio Software. The Mobile Device Testing solution enables collection of eye tracking data during an interaction with smartphones, tablet computers and other devices or objects of similar size such as books or brochures. The tested device (e.g. smartphone or tablet) is firmly attached to a supplied holder. The stand is delivered with all necessary equipment for eight different configurations optimized for different devices and setups. It includes an adjustable scene camera (that points at and films the mobile device) to enable capturing of user actions and the user interface. Eye tracking data will be superimposed on images and video captured with the scene camera in the analysis software - Tobii Pro Lab or Tobii Pro Studio.

Before following these instructions make sure you have installed the latest version of the Tobii Pro Eye Tracker Manager and the Tobii Pro Nano/X2-30/X2-60/X3-120 Eye Tracker drivers on the Windows computer you intend to use. Also make sure you have assembled the stand correctly by following the instructions: Assembling the Tobii Mobile Device Stand. The configuration of the eye tracker is done through the configuration tool of the Pro Eye Tracker Manager.
NOTE. If you make any changes to the Mobile Device Stand configuration, or if the eye tracker has been used for another purpose, you need to change the values to correspond to the current configuration in the Eye Tracker Manager and save the changes to the eye tracker. If the eye tracker is to be attached to a laptop to track the laptop screen, it must be reconfigured for the laptop screen by using the Tobii Eye Tracker Installer. If the eye tracker has only been unplugged, but not re-configured there is no need to use the Eye Tracker Manager when you plug in the eye tracker again. You can save and load saved configuration files in the Display setup section of the Eye Tracker Manager. For your convenience the different settings for the mobile device stand are pre-installed as presets in the Eye Tracker Manager and can be accessed by using the Select setup drop down.
