This interactive training course will explain and teach the basics of eye tracking equipment, methodology and analysis and give you an insight into human psychology and the theory and reasons behind eye tracking technologies.
Sessions will cover all types of commercial research using both screen and glasses based eye tracking systems. Upon successful completion of the course participants will be certified as Tobii Pro qualified to either bronze, silver or gold standard.*
The course content will be broken down to three sections, each with multiple modules. Participants are free to choose which modules suit their requirements or complete the full course to get a good foundation in all aspects of eye tracking.
*Participants will achieve the minimum pass mark for each module and complete the requisite number of modules to be certified. 1 module from each section = Bronze. All modules for one eye tracking technology = Silver. All 10 modules = Gold.
In the two sessions covering the basics of eye tracking you will learn about the technology, psychology behind eye tracking and typical applications and use cases for both screen based and glasses based eye tracking. These webinars will give you a good foundation of knowledge which is essential for getting the full benefits of the rest of the course. For these sessions it would be useful if you have access to your equipment and software during the webinar.
Split into five separate sessions covering different eye tracking technologies and stimulus or methodology types these webinars are designed to walk you through design and creation of studies within the software and demonstrating how to review, analyse and report on the collected data. There will be demonstrations on the functionality of the software tools and explanations of the different metrics, tools, outputs and capabilities of the equipment relevant to the media and study. Due to the nature of these sessions we would recommend you have the equipment and software available to you during the webinar.
The final sessions look at different types of methodology for eye tracking studies and will allow you to create studies to ensure accurate and effective data collection and ensure your research aims are met. Details on how many participants are recommended, how to create your stimuli correctly and controlling the research environment will be covered. We would recommend having any questions or ideas for future research project ready for these sessions to allow the trainer to give you specific help and advice as appropriate.
