This section provides you with a series of articles containing the background knowledge needed to understand eye tracking research. Among other topics you'll learn about our eye tracking technology, the human visual system and how we process and select visual information. 

Homo sapiens is a highly visual species. In most settings, vision provides the vast majority of the functional sensory inputs that support locomotion, sensemaking, communication, and cognition. As such, studying how visual attention unfolds can lead to an understanding of how those actions and processes are accomplished.In other words, understanding how we see the world and the things in it can reveal a great deal about how we function.
