The team at Tobii Pro invites you and your colleagues to attend an inspiring tutorial session about eye tracking and virtual reality, and how integrating the two can bring value to your research.
Eye tracking in VR has enormous possibilities for research and interaction. Tobii Pro has integrated our mobile eye tracking technology, Tobii Pro Glasses 2, into the commercial head-mounted display in the Oculus Rift. This integration allows users to develop tools for virtual environments in their own research, while providing insights into a wide range of topics.
This tutorial is designed to give you an introduction to virtual reality, eye tracking, and to demonstrate the potential of fusion the two technologies. The presentation will be followed by a hands-on session, where we will discuss previous use cases, demonstrate the integration solution, and answer questions on how to get started.
14:00 - 15:30 - Intro to VR, eye tracking, and their integration
15:30 - 16:00 - Coffee break
16:00 - 16:45 - Hands-on session
16:45 - 17:00 - Questions and answers
17:00 - 18:00 - Mingle opportunity (drinks and snacks will be provided)
This session will be hosted by VR expert, William Hamilton.
William Hamilton is currently researching the clinical applications of VR at Stockholm University. He is also the CEO and founder of mimerse, a startup that creates self-help treatments in virtual reality. William is a consultant with Tobii Pro helping to develop solutions for eye tracking in virtual worlds. He has years of experience creating consumer applications for immersive technology, and he will share lessons learned on human-computer interaction in this medium of the future.
After the tutorial session, we invite you to stay and mingle. We will continue discussions about the opportunities and trends in the worlds of eye tracking and virtual reality.
If you cannot attend the workshop but want to join mingle, please drop us an email at email@example.com by October 14th (at the latest), so we can secure a place for you.
