Scrum 사용성 테스트

The company's User Experience Department works closely with its software development teams and has established a way to run usability tests that fits well with the scrum methodology. Eye tracking is important to engage different stakeholders in understanding the user experience.

Usability tests with live viewing fit well with the scrum methodology. Running small tests in each sprint improves the usability and enhances the quality of the end result.

In each sprint, the company runs a small usability test comprising 5–6 test persons and gathers all stakeholders—the customer as well as the software developers—to observe eye tracking live. The method is quick and easy, focuses on solving problems and securing quality. Each session takes about 20 minutes. After

each test session they run a mini-workshop in which all the stakeholders discuss the observations made and how to solve the identified issues. This way of working has proven very efficient and result oriented, and establishes a common view among the stakeholders of what is important to the user.

Eye tracking is very useful in understanding information architecture. You immediately spot when a test person hesitates and can identify what needs to be adjusted, for instance, the terminology used in a menu.
